FoodLab Sydney’s Community Garden

Located in Strathfield South, FoodLab Sydney’s primary mission is to support migrants and former refugees in establishing their own culinary business. Offering on-site business, marketing and product training, entrepreneurs have access to the produce that is grown in the community garden.

Three years on, the garden is a thriving home to a diverse range of cultural and seasonal foods. We welcome volunteers and occasionally hold open days and workshops.

Chester Hill Community Garden

Chester Hill Community Garden

A place for locals to grow their food in an increasingly high density environment, Chester Hill Community Garden has nearly 30 individual plots and several communal gardens. With the majority of plots almost always leased, the popularity of the garden emphasises the importance of community gardens for wellbeing, food security and food sovereignty.

There is always a need to keep up with maintenance in such a large garden. We welcome volunteers as well as visitors to regular workshops.
